Tercero Semana in MTC

Hola Todos,

¿Cómo están?

This week we taught three different investigators, the TRC, Miriam and Miguel. I feel like we're getting better at teaching, but we're still having trouble understanding the investigators questions.

we have also had some great devotionals. On Sunday we had several talks about ministering.
They said if we, 1. Love God with all our heart, 2. Pray to be an instrument in his hands and 3. Minister to individuals we will be blessed.
Here were some of the promises:
1. The Lord will put His special sons and daughters into our path.
2. You will become ministering angels blessing their lives.
3. You will minister in a holier way.
I know that as we focus on the Lord and others, He will bless us and help us to bless others lives.

We later had a talk by Sheri Dew. She talked about how questions are good and we shouldn't hesitate to ask if were seeking to understand.

On Tuesday we had another devotional where the apostle, Elder Gerrit  W. Gong and his wife spoke.

Sister Gong spoke about being what it takes to be a missionary. Faith, Diligence, Obedience and Humility. Serve with all you might mind heart and strength. Use your creativity and talents for the Lord and He will bless you.

Elder Gong spoke about four Gospel Truths.
1. A blessing of restoration today we have a living prophet.
2. To bring us joy God has given us laws and ordinances.
3.Heavenly Father will guide, help and protect us as we seek answers through the Holy Ghost.
4.The divine calling of the prophet Joseph Smith. We will celebrate in the year 2020, 200 years since the first vision.

So this week was pretty Good!

News on Nicaragua.
They have taken all missionaries out of Nicaragua. So continue to pray for the people there.

I love you,

Elder Behymer.

Segunda Semana in MTC

This week was pretty good! We started teaching a TRC lesson. It's an investigator who could be a member or a non-member, so we can't expect that they know much about the Gospel which is good. We taught the restoration, or most of it to her, but it was a struggle speaking in Spanish. Yet, I think it went well and the spirit helped guide us during it.

On Tuesday we had a member of the Seventy speak, Brother Claudio R. M. Costa. He spoke about the Savior and asked us to think about who He is to us. I thought it was really great.

Early this morning, we went as a zone to the Temple and did an endowment session. It was really great. Sorry I don't have any photos, I keep forgetting to take them.

Also, there is an Elder in my zone who was going to Nicaragua Managua North, but is now going to Spokane Washington. I know that it's not where I'm assigned, but rather that I am called to serve.

I love you,

Elder Behymer.

Primera Semana

Hola Todos,

The MTC is amazing and really spiritual, but nevertheless it is not easy. There are a lot of new things I have had to adjust to. Wearing church clothes everyday is very different also having a companion with me all the time. My companion is Elder Stephenson. He is from Yakima, Washington. He is the last child in his family with twelve siblings. And, was also called to serve in the Nicaragua Managua South Mission.

The food here is great and they have a place for those with dietary needs.

My teachers are great and really helpful.

We, my companion and I, have been teaching lessons in Spanish, but were having a hard time understanding our practice investigator. But, several times I could feel the spirit, and it was awesome! The Spanish is hard and we have a lot of room for improvement.

Also regarding the instability in Nicaragua, I have been informed, but I don't know where I will be sent to serve. I will pray for them.

I love you,

Elder Behymer.

The Sending Matthew Off!

Lets just say that Matthew was ready to go when he got his call. And the MTC must have picked up on that because he got his call and then he was off in 6 weeks! Nicaragua Managua South Mission.

We were lucky enough that Matthew and Rachel got to overlap. They gave their talks on the same day. Talk about sibling love. Lots of family turned out for the talks too! It was great to see everyone.

The Stake President had all of us go around and say what we were going to do to support Matthew on his mission. I took the easy way out and told him I'd keep up his blog.

We did get this a couple of days after Matthew went into the MTC. He hasn't been assigned to a new mission and he hasn't left the MTC. So we will wait, and pray, and see.
